Our Executive Chef also creates fusion specialties from his experiences with American and Italian cuisine. This veteran-owned restaurant offers a lunch buffet, dinner menu, and catering set in a trendy, family-friendly, and relaxed environment with a Bollywood Theater room, meeting space, and a sitting area with a fireplace, games, and books. Meet the Team
The concept for OM Indian Fusion Cuisine began in late 2014 with the merging of two cultures: Indian and American. This authentic yet modern restaurant is owned and operated by globe-trotting intercultural couple, Sumanth and Nancy Viswanathan. Due to their unique life story together, they have been featured in numerous articles, videos and blogs both in the U.S. and in India.
Sumanth is a native of Ooty in Tamilnadu, South India. He arrived in the States back in 2010 in pursuit of education and career advancement. He acquired his Bachelor¹s degree from India in Computer Applications and now holds an MS in Information Technology and an MBA in Project Management. In addition to running the restaurant on the operational side, he is a Project Manager at American Family Insurance in Madison, WI. He speaks 6 languages, enjoys the outdoors and loves skydiving and other extreme sports.
Nancy is an American military veteran who was born in California, but raised in the Midwest. She spent 10 years in the service as an Army NCO and deployed to Iraq as a Logistics Manager for an aviation brigade. She has also been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor¹s in Business Management. She has a passion for world travel and learning new cultures, sampling ethnic cuisine and spending time with family and friends.
Executive Chef, Dilli Shankar, is a highly-skilled culinary professional from Chennai, India with over 13 years of experience. He received his Bachelor¹s Degree in Hospitality Management in the U.S. and trained in India for culinary arts, food and beverage management and food production. He has been recognized for his comprehensive knowledge of international cuisine and innovative approaches for setting the stage to a customized dining experience. He has desired to run his own kitchen since childhood. He has redefined the art of cooking by developing extensive menus and preparing culinary dishes influenced by culturally diverse regions around the world. He enjoys watching comedy and action films, attending festivals and staying connected with his family back in India.
